Fun and Healthy Ways for Kids to Eat Smart
Getting kids to eat healthy doesn’t have to be a chore. Here are a few suggestions that will help you teach your kids healthy eat habits that will support them for the rest of their life.

- Involve kids in the food buying process both in the grocery store and on the ShopToEarth website. Show them how to tell when fruits and vegetables are ripe to eat and let them handle the produce. This will help them feel comfortable with the food and take greater interest in what’s on their plate.
- Take a trip to a local farmers market so kids can see where their food comes from. Talk about how the food is grown and the various nutritional benefits they provide. Make a game of it by matching the fruit or vegetable to the health benefit.
- Teach kids how to read food labels so they can identify which foods are the healthiest for them. Hopefully you are buying organic foods from your ShopToEarth online store which tend to have a readable list of ingredients as opposed to conventional foodstuffs that include a lot of technical jargon.

My kids love the Coconut and Almond KIND Bars. I have them come on the site with me when choosing food items and let them pick out something to try. Another favorite is the Yummy Earth lollipops and hard candy. It’s nice to know when they are eating these things that it’s good for them and not full of processed junk!
This is a great idea. I wasn’t sure how mine were going to react to the “healthy” snacks. So I bought a few and they like most of them. So the next time I went on to Kay’s Naturals and Clif and let them pick out their own. They love their snacks!
